Sorry, a DNS entry already exists, please delete it first (from all servers in the dns cluster) - WHM

While addding a new domain name through WHM, you may get an error:-

Account Creation Status: failed
Sorry, a DNS entry for domainname.com already exists, please delete it first (from all servers in the dns cluster)

What does this means?

  • This time a DNS Zone File already exists for that specific domain name.
  • So, Simply Select->"Delete a DNS Zone" at left sidebar and remove the domain name which you are trying to add.
  • Now Retry for the account creation.
